Privacy Policy

In short: we collect the minimum needed to run your subscription — an email address and API usage logs. We never sell it. The data we serve through our API contains no personal information about private individuals, by design.

1. Who is responsible

AlkaLabs, an independent software business operated as a sole trader by Igor Lima, resident in Brazil, is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@alka.gg.

2. What we collect

Account data. The email address you subscribe with, and the name of your organisation if you give one.
Usage logs. For each API request: the credential used, the timestamp, the endpoint, the response status and the response time. We keep these to enforce plan limits, diagnose faults and detect abuse.
Correspondence. Messages you send us, so we can answer them and keep a record of what was agreed.

3. What we do not collect

We do not store your payment card or bank details. Payment is processed by our merchant of record, who is the seller for the transaction and handles payment data under their own privacy policy. We receive only the fact that a payment succeeded and the information needed to issue your invoice.

The open data we serve through the API is selected so that it contains no records about identifiable private individuals. Sources whose value depends on personal data are refused at the point of selection.

4. Why we may use it, and on what basis

To provide the service you subscribed to and to bill for it — performance of a contract.
To keep the service secure and within its limits — our legitimate interest in operating it.
To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except the processors needed to run the service: our merchant of record, our email provider and our hosting provider.

5. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your subscription is active and for 12 months after it ends. Usage logs are kept for 90 days. Records required for tax and accounting are kept for as long as the law requires.

6. Where it is processed

Our infrastructure and processors may store and process data outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Under Brazil's LGPD you also have the right to know with whom we have shared your data.

To exercise any of these, write to hello@alka.gg. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to your local data protection authority — in Brazil, the ANPD.

8. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across sites. Any cookie set is strictly necessary to keep you signed in to your account.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email subscribers before the change takes effect.
